ITIN holders must verify their identity through a video chat process and will need a valid email address, proof of their ITIN, a primary document, and a secondary document. One of these documents must include proof of address.
This identity verification process applies to IRS services such as the Online Account, Get a Transcript Online, Online Payment Plan Application, Get an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN), Tax Professional Account, e-Services, and Online Submission of Forms 2848 and 8821.
